Yay I passed - 70-236, that is.

Quite a comfortable 962.

Somehow I felt this exam was a lot easier than the Exchange 2003 counterpart, which I sat 3 years ago...

Ah well.

    Become one with Powershell.

Seriously, Powershell does a lot more than the Console does these days.

Well worth knowing a LOT about.

The way the newest products (Windows 2008 Core, Exchange 2007) are shaping up, I think Microsoft are trying to veer their product lines towards CLI operations.

I can see the merits of it, too.

Congratulations - and I appreciate the encouraging comments about 236 vs 284.

I might have a crack at it when I've got over the PTSD of Exchange 2003 exams.

I felt quite the opposite. I never thought the E2K3 exams were rigorous enough.
    Good luck to all!

    I can see your point.

The powershell was fine for me - I grew up on command lines lol

My exam as I mentioned before was screwed up. Numerous questions there was literally no correct answer because PowerShell syntax was wrong on every option. Questions and answers had inappropriate spaces that literally m ade it loo k l ike this w hen read ing it .

That undoubtedly contributed to me getting a 700. Compare that to 70-284, which I scored in the 900's without trying. I was astounded that I didn't even recall a single question on that exam that pertained to features and procedures that were specific to Exchange 2003 and not 2000.

P.S. Meant to say congrats before. That's more important than complaining about Microsoft exams. icon_wink.gif

Hey, complain if you like :)

I'm very ambivolent about them these days.

The MCSE 2003 exams were far more tricky than the Vista/Exchange 07's I've sat.

Though it could be that I have much more experience than I did in those days (got the MCSE 2 1/2 years ago now)
