Keeping it current is a daunting task at first but gets easier. When I first had to worry about CPEs I was really concerned that it was an uphill battle. I have a full schedule and don't get out to training courses or conventions as much as I would like. It does get easier though.
The Info Sec Professional magazine that ISC2 puts out gets you a couple, then you have BrightTalk e-Symposium sessions which get you three, and so forth.
It really does get easier. Let me know if you need any help getting on your feet.

Congrats on the pass, and good luck with the rest of the process and your letter. (I'm fairly sure I'd have to coat my letter in something flame-retardant, if I ever sit for this exam.)
Congratulations! It gives me great pleasure to be the first to address you with the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) designation!
Based upon your examination results, a review of your application and acceptance of your endorsement, the (ISC)2 Board of Directors awarded you with the CISSP designation. By virtue of becoming certified by (ISC)2, you are a member of the (ISC)2 Electorate and have certain voting privileges that are specified in the (ISC)2 Bylaws.
Would you mind if I referred to you as SirLawrenceTheeMan from now on?
Funny. I appreciate the congrats from everyone in this thread.
I learned a lot and I believe it will be very rewarding for my career (especially in this area).
I really have caught the certification bug, and I have even gotten some guys at work to study for their first certifications. Leading by example can be effective.
Just ordered the two recommended CCENT books today and I am about 12 videos into Jeremy's CBT Nuggets series. He's pretty good and I find the material very interesting.
Also, the TE community is super awesome and really cool!
Nice Larry bet it feels good to finally have that CISSP!!
Thanks. It does feel good, but now I will have to rely on all of you CISCO geniuses if I get stuck during these CCENT/CCNA studies. I'm not ready to stop the certification train yet.

Wait... what? I thought keeping your CISSP current was the hardest part... You better not relax too much!
Now all eyes are on you, JD!
