Switch configuration for NLB cluster
I’m going to set up Windows Server 2008 NLB cluster. To avoid single point of failure one node of cluster will be connected to one switch and second to second switch (DELL Power Connect 544
.
I’m going to use Unicast configuration with two network adapter – one for public network and second for private – with domain connection to the network)
To private VLAN will be connected more servers (in fail over cluster) with teamed NICs (PE2950).
Could you tell me what is best practice for switch configuration in this scenario, what options should I enable and what disable for all server (e.g. teamed NICs)?
