I passed with 859 (859 on questions and 940 on SIMs) Not a fan of the breakdown, just 2 bars. If you fail this it would be hard to focus on your weaker areas.
The exam wasn’t overly difficult and the SIMs were fairly simple, I had 35 questions and 12 SIMs.
The SIMs were the easy part I had 4 on backups (so similar I thought I hadn't click next)
The questions were quiet a mix of subjects but I would say be confident on the following;
Basic T-SQL syntax DML and DDL and understand the difference.
Indexing.
XML T-SQL Syntax and just awareness of the capabilities to store it.
General performance tuning
High availability techniques (how to configure and when to implement one over the other – Clustering, Mirroring, Log Shipping).
A very good knowledge of the SSMS interface and how to find information within it (especially for the SIMs)
On my exam there was no actual scripting of any language including T-SQL
I used MS Press, CBTs and several VMs.
Next up 70-649
