Just got a Field Tech position for an IT Consulting Company and the certs were a factor and helped me ace the technical interview.
This site helped too because I went through alot of the practice questions here for the MS stuff the weekend before to make sure I could answer things I should know being an MCSE. Great refresher course.

Good work. Your hard work paid off and brushing up before an interview is always a smart idea. Congratulations and enjoy your new consulting job.
The more knowledge one obtains the more there is too accumulate.....
