Software Inventory

Is there a Microsoft product that will perform software inventory over a network? I'm looking for a simple and easy to use solution. I would need to scan more than 250 PCs and need inventory on all products installed.

I just caught the spiceworks today, but didn't try it out. The screen shots look impressive, but I believe it only supports 250 devices as well. I'll take a look at the other one. Thanks!!!!

I personally use SCCM 2007. But uh, be prepared to spend some money. It's really good though.

Is this the product that replaced SMS? I tried SMS and found it very confusing. Would you say that System Center Configuration Manager is easier to use?
