XP Question - Retrieving add/remove program list

Is there a way to export this list and get it to a simple word file? We are changing the access people have on their computers, and we want to see what programs have been installed and which ones must be removed.

You could check the registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Uninstall

Although this displays also each update installed.

Some people suggest http://www.hijackthis.de/

Run hijack this, click the "open misc. tool section" button, click "open uninstall manager>click save list,yes to the prompts, notepad will open with your add/remove programs list.

I d/l HijackThis! and it seems to do the trick. Nice that it can be run from a thumb drive or install on local machines.
