The Server 2000 exams were just retired this year, so these will probably be around another 2-3 years.

lol....i always laugh @ this "i heard that..." foolishness...how hard is it to go to the mcp site and see for yourself???

MCP & MCDST arent going anywhere anytime soon. I'd say at least until 2010

not trying to but in but the poster said next year or so and you said 2010...according to my pc at work it is Nov. 14, 2008 so add 1 year would be Nov.14, 2009 and add the "or so" which would put you in 2010

Agreed, it is unlikely that Microsoft would remove the two particularly since corporations have stated that they will not move away from WinXP usage at least until 2010.
