Have you tried a loopback plug? Granted you can't give it an IP address but it will light an access port up if it works... -

I want a device with a "fix all problems" button. Kind of like one of those easy buttons but real.

You want a self-contained VM running on a USB Flash drive. U3 Smart Drives may have something close to that. -

The trick is that you don't want to boot off the Flash drive. You want to just stick it in a USB port and have Windows' PnP report that a new, networked device with it's own hostname and IP has suddenly appeared in your Windows Network.darkerosxx wrote:
