How can trace the packed

Hi,

I connected 1 switch with 1 router, and I configure the switch with 3 VLAN and router for route between VLANs. My question is how I can trace packet between switch and router to see ISL or 802.1q frame.

So you configured what sounds like router-on-a-stick? And you want to see the packets?

You can set up a span session and run a packet capture on it I guess.

But I never traced the packed and it was the best answer I could come up with.
