Enable Remote Assinstance in Group Policy

I following the Microsoft Press Book for the 70*290 and the book asked to either enable Remote assistance on System Property or using goup policy. I decide to use group policy. I did the following:
- Active Directory
- Right Click Domain Controller
- Hit the Group Policy Tab
- Hightighted the default Domain Controller Policy
- Hit Edit
Now on the Group Policy Object Editor i did the following
- Hit the plus on Admininstrative Template
- + System
- Click Remote Assistance and then I enable Soicited Remote Assistance
- I try to do the remote assistance and still showing as if it is disable
Can anybody tell what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for your time and help

Group Policy for clients take 90 minutes to apply with a 30 minute offset (so anywhere from 90 to 120 minutes). Group Policy also does a forced update every 16 hours. For Domain Controllers, group policy updates every 5 minutes.

You can speed this up by doing a gpupdate /force.

The problem was that I need it to logoff and then log back in. Now I can do the remote assistance

Didn't the gpupdate /force tell you that you had to log off? It's always told me when I needed to log off or restart for settings to take effect. User settings are applied when a user logs on and computer settings are applied when Windows loads, so you usually (always?) need to take those actions after making changes.

On the client - you can use 'gpresult /R' to display the policy applied ...

    gpresult /H <filename>

exports it to an html file ..
