WIN XP as a client of RHEL 5 DNS?

ufffff........in grt trouble

i cant add my win xp as a client for DNS server?...........my dns is workin fine with linux clients.........
dig results are perfect.........but y winxp is acting like this?

can i make NIS clients in windows......if yes ( ithink it can b done thru samba sharing), will any body pls give me the step by step procedure for that?

If DNS queries are working from a Linux client, I see no reason why they wouldn't work on a winxp client, holding everything else the same.

I would check firewall rules and DNS configuration rules.

What errors are you seeing?

it seems like the xp pc not seems the SRV records..........

bit i added SRV records here in linux..................i donno wat d hell is workin here......

and u knw my xp pc can ping to my server FQDN..........
what shud b the wierdness in this ....pls help

Look at the bind logs on the server for the ip of the client. What messages exist?
