    This must have just been released so I doubt anybody has done it yet. I just looked last week and it wasn't available yet. I plan on doing this Q3/Q4 of 2009.

    Yea, I just checked today and was surprised that it was out. I remembered all the Server 2008 CBTs being scheduled for later in 2009. I'm kind of disappointed James isn't the instructor though. I think I'm going to get a yearly streaming subscription in a few weeks, and this will probably be the first series I watch.

    Yeah, same here.

    I should really focus on the network side of things, but I really feel like I should at least get a good understanding of w2008.

    I have a w2k MCSE, but I haven't really used anything beyond mcsa level for years now. I wonder if this nugget will be too exam-focused.

    The Nuggets tend to be more exam-centric while Train Signal seems to be more technology-centric. I think you'll end up in roughly the same place if you go through all the relevant series. I think it's more personal preference and goals than anything else. Maybe give TS a shot if you think that approach will suit you better.

    I find it interesting that they think they can say this without pointing out specifically in the same sentence or paragraph that you have to have MCSE for this to be true.
    Passing it immediately earns you three MCTS certifications:

    * Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuring 70-640
    * Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuring 70-642
    * Windows Server 2008 App/Infrastructure Configuring 70-643

    The name of the product is, "Upgrading Your MCSE on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008, Technology Specialist: Exam-Pack 70-649". Maybe they just assume their customers aren't complete idiots ;)

    If only assumptions didn't make a$$es out of people and held up in court. :D

    The entire paragraph makes it seem like the exam gives you three certs, but makes no mention of requirements for that to be true. Not everybody stalks cert boards and requirements.
