Default password length

Hi,

Nice easy one, can somebody please confirm whether by default the minimum password length is set to 6 characters of 7.

I have seen study material with both, but personally believe this to be 6 characters?

Just want to make sure as I have had a couple of practice questions go "wrong" because I chose 6 instead of 7.

Also just to confirm if 'minimum password length' is not altered and the 'complexity' requirement is enabled this too also forces it as 6 characters minimum.

My study material says 7 from the microsoft book.

Ya, it's 7 while complexity requirement is 6. Just make sure you remember that distinction.

That must be where the confusion has come from.

So the final question I suppose is.....
If Minimum password length is left as default (7) and Enforce Password Complexity is enabled (6), then which takes priority.

Would it be 6 characters or 7?

Both are checked. Because of that, password needs to be >= 7 characters.
