Excessive Broadcasts

Hi all,
This is actually a real world problem I've seen a couple of times that I would like to diagnose more effectivily. On a couple of occasions we have had employees creating network loops that have taken down the network, either through plugging network leads back into floor ports, or connecting hubs with looped cabling.
From a Cisco switch point of view what is the best method to determine which switch port had been looped or where excessive broadcasts are being sent from?
Thanks
