Is there anything like that ? Or at least for a decent price ?

I mean sure I could try something myself .. but for now I'd like to use something which exists and works :)

I think you should check out Asp.net and all the starter kits they have. As far as free, community server or dotnetnuke are the best portals. It really depends on what you want to do. Their are a ton of free kits to choose from. If your looking for something a little less bloat and strictly forums...YetAnotherForum is pretty good!

Not sure if this is for commercial use or not, but http://communityserver.com/products/express/ is great.

YetAnotherForum...is what you want. Once you learn to properly configer SQL strings it a piece of cake to setup. It has some decent skins as well and it's free.

Express is free PRO is like several thousands of dollars!

Yeah, like I said, I wasn't sure if he was planning on using if for commercial use or not. ;)

I agree YAF would be a good starter.

I don't want to use it commercially at all .. it is really just to learn SQL stuff ..

I mean demo databases from books are nice and all .. but with a portal you see at least straight away when you broke or fixed something ..

Thanks for the infos guys - YAF looks even quite nice .. even though it is free :P

I was considering it, but as far as I remember they are charging additional money for their MSSQL "driver" ....

Dot net Nuke is a free (open source) portal for Windows platforms that is widely used and has a strong community base. I have seen it used several times in large production sites.
