You are correct. Only NT, 2000, XP and 2003 use NTFS. -

bwolfe Member Posts: 24 ■□□□□□□□□□The easy way to remember that ME doesn't support NTFS is to remember that 95, 98, 98SE, and ME are all part of the same Win 9.x family. Only the NT family of Windows operating systems (Win NT, 2000, 2003) supports NTFS. XP is a hybrid and can also be counted among the NT family that supports NTFS (although it also behaves somewhat like the 9.x family in terms of its ability to provide backward compatibility with programs that were designed for the 9.x family of OSs).
Trivia question... which OS was the 'inspiration' (some might use another word) for NT ????

Yes, but the log file is spelled differently from the 2000 version. In XP I believe it's Drwatson.log instead of Win2k's Drwtsn32.log -
bwolfe Member Posts: 24 ■□□□□□□□□□Trivia answer.... 'OS2', the product of what began as a collaboration between IBM & MS that ended with MS dropping out and building Windows NT.
