Passed BGP+MPLS Composite, finished CCIP

It was a very tough exam - harder than the BSCI+BCMSN composite. It seemed like a very out-dated exam that required the knowledge of legacy stuff that isn't used a whole lot any more. I scored a 932 and literally took the exam down to the last 30 seconds. I'm done with the CCIP now. I'm going to finish my studies on the CCNA-Security now, and maybe consider the CCSP track.

Both the BGP and MPLS exams blew my 1 minute per question average -- those exhibit type questions take some time to just to read. And the SIMs in those were finally a worthy challange.
I don't even want to imagine what the composite exam was like

The sims were pretty tough. They were why I took the exam down to the last minute. Without disclosing anything about the exam, I will say that the sims on the exam made you understand multiple ways to do the same thing, much like the CCIE. It was very hard. I only took the composite because I had a lot of BGP experience with my previous job at an ISP.CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModGood to see you're still alive and kickin' Paul. Congrats on both the pass of that monster-test, as well as the new CCIP title. Good luck with the security studies.
So, once you get to the CCSP material, should we expect another TE-sabbatical from you?

No. I started a new job in September so I've been studying for both my new job and for various certifications. Once I'm more settled into my job I'll be able to post more. There is just very little free time right now. I travel a lot and study on the airplanes, that helps a lot.CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA

Probably. The CCDP doesn't really offer me much compared to the CCSP. I work in security now so the more security I have the better.CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA
