Yes, most of the exam guides are now $1 or $5. Nice!

    I forgot I even bought these... icon_redface.gif

Thanks for the reminder, I'm actually getting into some of the SQL material!

Yeah, any PDFs I meaning to read through I must leave on my desktop or I'll forget about them too.

Hum... they've added a couple new Cisco Mega Guides since the last time I checked.... QoS, CVoice, and ONT.

Oooooooh -- hopefully the "coming soon" CCNA Specialization Mega Guides will be out for their next sale :D

I think they whole point is that they're discounting dated material.

PrepLogic doesn't have Mega Guides for their MS 2008 exams. I don't think they have prep materials for the Exchange exams either.

It's more likely they're trying to entice new customers. Most of those discounted guides look quite relevant to today's cert exams. I don't see any Mega Guides to the CNA, MCSD, NT4 MSCE there. ;)

But Vista would techinically be the same generation as 2008. icon_silent.gif

I dunno, the Windows packages are pretty dated. With the exception of Vista (which will be replaced with the Windows 7 certification shortly), most are for the old tracks. The MCDBA list doesn't even include any of the related DBA exams since they're retired. I'm sure it's a draw to bring new people into the fold, but they're not exactly offering premium material.

Well, if the premium material is selling well then there's no reason to discount it.

I think it's because they are busy updating all the cool new Cisco Stuff first! icon_lol.gif

True, but some of the material is still useful. I picked up a study guide for 70-624 which is an exam I planned on taking before the Second Shot expires at the end of the month. There isn't much available for this exam, and I wouldn't be taking it except it is required in order to perform MS funded desktop deployment planning services engagements, so a cheap study guide certainly helps me out.

I didn't say they were worthless; I just don't think they command the same price as the newer guides. I might even pick up the Sharepoint ones and add them to my collection of things I'll never read...

Is it safe to purchase from them? I saw someone had an issue.

    Was that me?

My only warning with them is be sure to read the fine print on anything big. They got me on a Win2K training DVD set a few years back. . . the ad implied the DVDs were free with shipping. I've been mad at them up until a few months ago, when they offered a sweet deal on audio training I couldn't get in on.
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.
