full backup XP

if I do full backup to my xp , and store the backup on CD\DVD , Can i restore it on other pc , to get duplicate same user profile , programs on the new pc ?

Yes you can restore a full backup of XP to any pc but you there are things you need to consider. If the source computer's hardware is different from the destination computer you will encounter a lot of errors. You may also want to consider using sysprep or Ghost walker.
