I'm not sure how many pages I ended up at so far for the year but I'm fairly sure it's a couple thousand short of my goal. Next year things are looking more positive though. I'm fairly motivated right now all things considered, and really looking forward to some good progress.

Going back to school to earn my Master's which will add up to a heft of reading and I have some certification goals as well that I plan to take very seriously. I've been finding myself reading more now than I was before a lot of which is owed to having picked up a Kindle DX. It's very easy to carry along wherever I go and knock out a chapter here and there without lugging around thick books - very nice.

I think I only read about 5k pages, if that. Life distracted me way too much. icon_smile.gif

I'm fairly sure I finished off most of the reading I set out to do, and then some. I'll have to do a more accurate estimate, but I think I'm somewhere between 13,000 and 14,000 pages of IT/cert-related stuff at this point. (And far too many pages of math-related material than I care to admit.)

Still nothing to be disappointed in!

    Congratulations :)

I would need to go back and recount, but I do know I past the 10K point back around September 17th, and then I"ve not read as much the past month. Maybe close to 11K but nothing like Slowhand - great work!! icon_study.gif

    'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird?

Yup, anything that gets people motivated and helps the learning-process is a good thing. It doesn't matter whether you read 10,000 pages or 100 pages in a year, as long as you're learning and moving forward. :D

Why thank you. It's been a busy year, but next year's looking all that much busier. It's a lot more work than people think to fit in reading and studying, both IT-related and academic, between daily rounds of battling sobriety. icon_lol.gif

I don't think that's a bad thing; I wouldn't want to be anything like Slowhand. He wouldn't even drive like five hours to hang out with me while I was in CA. Loser.

Drive 500 miles just for a booty-call with you? Pshh, hell no!
