Altiris is a great product, we mainly use Deployment Solution for server builds and remote mgmt. I prefer it to Radia and Ghost Solution for imaging/deploying software. We are now deploying SCCM so not sure how much longer we'll have it.

Never really had any problems with it either. We have each Altiris box configured as a DHCP server.

Also use notification server, seems ok. Used to use the Patch Mgmt and it was Ok but now use SCCM.

What version you gonna be using Lee?

I am quiet good with Altiris, RIP creation/editing etc.

Let me know if you need any help.

I use Altiris, but not on the development or admin side. I use it for desktop support work, mainly for installings apps, remote access to machines, etc.
    Present goals: MCAS, MCSA, 70-680

It is good yeh. You guys are running a newer version than us, we are on 6.5.

RIP packages are very cool indeed, would like uninstall options for these though, rather than having to create another RIP package.
