Normally there is the Official Self Study Guide and the Official Exam Cert Guide.

Yeah, you're right, only the Cert Guide exists from Cisco. And though it's quite good, it doesn't go into all the details required.
I found that the Chris Bryant material filled in the gaps nicely, as did some extra research with cisco docs on the places I had questions.
