GT-Rob Member Posts: 1,090Ya I got the email but I haven't checked them out. I heard rumors of this happening a few months ago. Something along the lines of calling all professional level certs a "ccnp", then have the specialties (like ccie and ccna does). So instead of CCSP, it would be CCNP: security.
Is this what they did? -
APA Member Posts: 959CCNP:Security etc (Where did you hear this???).... I thought it was still going to be CCSP, CCVP etc.... the certification logo's were in major need of an overhaul anyways - what with Cisco's logo being revamped almost 2 years ago now.....
Follow the tracks on the learning wesbites..... clear cut tracks there for example - CCNA:Voice,CCVP to CCIE Voice
I was under the assumption the new logos are going to be available from next Monday - 12th of January as that is when the new logos are effective on all certs and plaques...
Time will tell.... Check next Monday... or Tuesday to make sure!

scheistermeister Member Posts: 748 ■□□□□□□□□□There are new logos. I made a post about them a few months back. They had sent out a survey to anyone with a Cisco cert at the time and asked them what they thought. I have copies of them at home but didn't post them up at the time for liability reasons. If I remember I will post them up when I get home.
I also thought it was funny they didn't update their site yet.Give a man fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. -

The CCNA specializations worked because the CCNA was a prerequisite for them. The NP ones don't make as much sense because they seem to imply that someone is an NP as well. I see that they made added the "Network" designation, which obviously corresponds to the current NP, but it just seems like this is going to lead to a lot of confusion. As msteinhilber noted, the design designations are goofy too. -
dtlokee Member Posts: 2,378 ■■■■□□□□□□I think they're better than the pyramid they used before but I still like the old CCIE logo better. I wonder what the specializations will look like, and will they make one for my retired VPN cert.

mikej412 Member Posts: 10,086 ■■■■■■■■■■I still don't have the Cisco Specialist logo available for download.
The CCNP just says CCNP
The CCIP says CCIP with Service Provider under it
The CCDP says CCDP with Design under it
etc. The Professional Logos aren't all CCNP/specialization.
And the CCNA and CCDA just say that.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -
Paul Boz Member Posts: 2,620 ■■■■■■■■□□So are they really switching to the CCNP* format? I think that's sort of lame if that's the case..CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA

Kasor Member Posts: 934 ■■■■□□□□□□It doesn't matter how they change "CCNA" "CCNP" and "CCIE" is the four letter that we all know in IT field.
How many people use their logo on the resume? It is silly, but as provider or personal website, then it will be fine. Anyway... more change change change... We need CHANGE in this country and the day is coming next Tue.Kill All Suffer T "o" ReBorn -

The downloads available in Cisco's certifications site only has jpg and gifWIP: can't decide.
