Second Shot Extended......

Guys i dont know if i am losing my reading capablity or something due to stress..

but i believe that MS have extended the date for the second shot exam till june 09

so i u register and take up an exam before june 09 u r entitled to take a free second shot if u fail on ur first attempt ........is that right............

earlier u had to take ur first shot on or before dec 31' 08 now i think it has changed...........

No it's always been June 09, but they had a different deal that was running in conjunction which allowed you to get the next exam at a discount. The website was very confusing, and a lot of people thought it was the second shot that was expiring in December, when it was just the bonus promotion.

ok so let me get this straight. I signed up for a second shot in December. Used the voucher, took the test and passed. I now have until Feb 28 to get a discount on my next exam. After reading this post I signed up for another second shot voucher and it went though. So I can register for a test now with it and if I pass I get a discount, if not I can retake it free until June??? I hope so. Because I am planning on taking 70-291 in the near future. (If I pass 70-290 tomorrow)

Yes to the first question.

Yes & No to the second question. The second shot voucher you just received can be used for a retake if you fail, but cannot be used for the 25% discount if you pass. The discount part of the promotion ended on 12/31.

The discount offer is over. You can use the discount code until it expires but you cannot earn any more of them.

The second shot offer is ongoing until the end of June. Get a voucher code, attempt an exam, if you pass it's over, if you fail you can rebook the exam with the voucher code for no charge.

If you use the discount code for a discount on your next exam you cannot combine it with a second shot voucher code (they are mutually exclusive) so while you would get the exam for less you would not be able to attempt it a second time without paying full price. It's up to you to decide how confident you feel.

yes. I don't really care about the discount. I mean I can get a discounted voucher from another company. The retake is what is important to me.
