Am confused with the Norton products.

Norton Antivirus - provides only protection against only virus.
Norton 360 and Norton Internet suite. ?????

I am looking for soemthing that would be a antivirus/firewall and apply prorection against basic internet related issues.

Also What if we buy a 2008 version and keep on updating the update dictionary......does it really matter for a homeuser if it uses a 2008 or a 2009 version as long as the updates are the latest.

is this for you or a client?

The major anitvirus companies don't do a very good job with software that isnt' explicitly a virus. Such as SPyware/adware etc.

I have had good results with SpySweeper with Antivitrus... agian for clients. Not really me. When i do bother to install AV I tend to use Avast.

I personally use McAfee. I have found it to be pretty good. We use Eset at work and its awesome. I have never really been a fan of Norton, but I've heard the 2009 has been reworked and has gotten high marks.
