BSCI tomorrow
In just under 13 hours I'll be taking the BSCI exam (I'm in an odd time zone). Any last minute pointers?
Well, I'll be sure to let you know how it goes. I've actually studied off and on for the BSCI since 2000, but something always seemed to come up. I've hit the books and labs hard for the past 6 weeks and hopefully it'll pay off. I'm really motivated to get it done this time because my CCNA expires on February 3rd and I really don't want to do it all over again.
Thanks for reading my ramblings....

I was blown away by this exam, it took me three times to pass. I expected a CCNA type exam, but the level of detail etc, was overwhelming to me. This was my first professional level exam. You need to know the material inside and out, and not just facts and figures. Use good time management skills, tihs one can get away from you in a hurry.....I don't claim to be an expert, but I sure would like to become one someday.

Passing Score: 790
Your Score: 955
Grade: Pass
Implement EIGRP operations 88%
Implement multiarea OSPF operations 100%
Describe integrated IS-IS 71%
Implement Cisco IOS routing features 100%
Implement BGP for enterprise ISP connectivity 100%
Implement multicast forwarding 100%
Implement IPv6 87%
It was challenging to say the least. Had 6 minutes left when I was done. The scores in the areas above are definitely a reflection of the things I had real world experience in, although I don't really know why EIGRP always seems to give me a much harder time than OSPF.
There was one SIM (out of several) that handed my a$$ to me. I'm guessing that is wasn't scored based on my final results.
Materials used:
TrainSignal BSCI Videos (Chris Bryant), Watched in its entirety and some vids several times.
BSCI Study Guide, 3rd edition (good book)
BSCI Certification Guide, current release (I didn't care for it but covers some material that the one above doesn't.)
CBTNuggets BSCI Videos, I played around with them but didn't really watched them. Not a negative, just didn't get around to it.
Experience.
Home lab consisting of about a dozen various 2500 series routers, a 4700 as a frame switch, and a 2950.
Multiple RFCs.
and....Cisco Systems, Inc, it's amazing the stuff that's just not covered in the books.WGU BS: Business - Information Technology Management

I think I'm going to take this sometime this week, though I'm not 100% sure I'll pass. Oh well, all I have to lose is the cost of the exam.
Good luck on which ever exam you're doing next! -
