Just got my a+ certification - is it true that we must retake the exam every 2 years to be up to date? Is it necessary to that i do to remain certified?
And also any suggestions on what other certification might i take next - i like to specialize in Hardware.

    Ahhh nope

Comptia certifications are lifetime ... unless of course you disregard the confidentiality agreement - then you loose them.

comptia certs last a lifetime. i guess they don't mind you taking the exams again at a later date if you want to get certified on more modern objectives ($$$).

if you really like hardware, and particularly networking hardware, you could try network+ or ccna.
