ranjitcoolranjitcool Member Posts: 80 ■■□□□□□□□□
Hey Guys,

I just passed my first test the 70-620

my score was bad is what i feel it was 721 i donno how much ercentage is that or how many i got right.

i loved the simulation questions where it lets u work on a simulated pc .. those were the easiest.

thanks for all u r help now i have a choice either go the mcse 2003 or 2008 route.. i am inclined towards 2008 route.. as i can also save money on lesser tests i guess and lesser tests make the ride easier..

any suggestions

thanks
rj

I just finished up 70-620 over the weekend, my certification plan is A+ and Network+ over the next couple months and then 2003 exams followed by upgrade exams to 2008. Thats my plan though, to each his own.

You don't "need" any of them but they are good to have, especially when you are starting at the bottom since they are entry level exams that alot of employers often expect to see. Also these exams can be used for an elective on the MCSA. Besides two of my classes this semester are directly related to those exams which means I will be prepairing for them reguardless of if I plan on taking the exams or not lol.

which exam is an elective for me to get a mcsa ? a+ ? or network+ ? please assist.

i had a huge debate with myself if i shud invest my time in a+ and network+ coz i am 23 and starting off but considering my education and degrees i chose not to. i am a computer science engg with a masters in info technology so i chose not to.

but if they count towards geting my mcsa i might just take them.

    please assist
    thanks

A+ partnered with either Network+ or Server+ will give you the elective for the MCSA but not for the MCSE for that you would need Security+

And of course you can always take Microsoft electives if you do not wish to take the CompTIA exams.

Most of the information you are looking for can be found at the Microsoft website. Best material for this exam is the MSPRESS book and hands on.
