    Also does anybody know the topics that fall under the four categories:

    Planning and Design - I know subnetting is here
    Implementation and Operation-
    Troubleshooting - ping, trace ?
    Technology - Isdn and others right?

    Also, can somebody exaplain something to me,
    In Extended ACLs, can somebody please explain how you use the port ranges such as eq, lt, gr. Ive come across eq 23 for example, but i hadnt seen lt or gr till I sat the exam!!! Its not in the netacad curriculum amazingly!!!
    Can anyone rpvide an example of how you would use this, i.e. the gr or lt option?

    eq = equal to
    lt = less than
    gt = greater than
    range = range of ports

    access-list 101 deny tcp host 211.45.32.146 host 199.44.32.7 eq 23
    This denies telnet (TCP port 23) from host 211.45.32.146 to host 199.44.32.7

    access-list 101 permit tcp any host 66.12.124.18 lt 1024
    This permits any IP address to communicate with host 66.12.124.18 on any TCP port less than 1024

    access-list 101 permit udp any host 148.24.66.202 gt 1024
    This permits any IP address to communicate with host 148.24.66.202 on any UDP port greater than 1024 (real-life use: Microsoft Netmeeting uses ports in this range)

    I think you can get the picture now... :)

    Is a retest free of charge?

    When did you take the 640-607 test? The current CCNA exam is 640-801.

    You asked whether a retest is free...

    Sorry, you have to pay full price in order to retake the exam.

    Thansk to forbesl for your explanation, I think I'll be okay with port ranges and the eq, lt business now!

    Yeh, the 640-607 retires officially, July 31st, so this is going to be my last chance now!

    Thanks to everyone for your help.
