i finally got a job

Hey everyone. I finally got a part time job as a pc technician. It is with fast teks. I have a full time job also, but I am very excited. For everyone who is looking, don't get discouraged.

    Cool, congrats. How long have you been looking?

    Despite Bloody Monday I sincerely hope this market is starting to slowly turn around. I've actually been hearing/reading reports of the number of foreclosures have dropped significantly from December (at least in Minnesota). It's going to be a long year, but gotta start somewhere.

    I am just finishing up my AAS in May. I have been looking for about 2 years but didn't have the qualifications for anything. I have been waiting to start working in the "real world" and to get my career started. I know that working this p/t for a couple of years should land me a pretty decent job. The hard part is getting your first I.T. job and after that, from what I hear, things take off from there. I am really happy.

    Congrats! I got my first job and luckily it was an IT job for a major computer manufacturer as well. Good luck to ya.

    IT guy since 12/00

    Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
    Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
