Starting this morning, getting a lot of these:

Feb 04 00:00:34 10.22.151.13 local4.alert %PIX-1-105008: (Primary) Testing Interface 2
Feb 04 00:00:35 10.22.151.13 local4.alert %PIX-1-105009: (Primary) Testing on interface 2 Passed
Feb 04 00:00:50 10.22.151.13 local4.alert %PIX-1-105008: (Primary) Testing Interface 2
Feb 04 00:00:51 10.22.151.13 local4.alert %PIX-1-105009: (Primary) Testing on interface 2 Passed
Feb 04 00:01:06 10.22.151.13 local4.alert %PIX-1-105008: (Primary) Testing Interface 2
Feb 04 00:01:07 10.22.151.13 local4.alert %PIX-1-105009: (Primary) Testing on interface 2 Passed

A search on cisco's website provided no help... ie:
Cisco PIX Firewall System Log Messages, Version 5.0 - System Log Messages [Cisco PIX Firewall Software] - Cisco Systems
which made this comment:

Explanation This is a failover message. This message reports the result (either "Passed" or "Failed") of a previous interface test. Refer to for possible values for the interface_number variable.
Recommended Action None required if the result is "Passed." If the result is "Failed," you should check to be sure the network cable is properly connected to both failover units and that the network itself is functioning correctly, and verify the status of the Standby unit.

I couldn't find an explanation of what would cause the test to run seven times per minute, always with Passed.
Anyone come across this before? Have any insights?
Much obliged,
Mike

There are only 10 kinds of people... those who understand binary, and those that don't.
