Preparing for ccent

Hello I am New on here I am in the process of preparing for my ccent, I am open to any advice I currently have the CBT nuggets . I also told my brother about my studying and he gifted me a Cisco2851 which is out of my league at the moment. I am looking for input on what Cisco gear I should get to practice my CCENT to lead on to CCNA or CCDA.

    Hi Jermaine,

    Welcome to the board.

    I recommend the Sybex CCNA book by Todd Lammle and/or the ICND1 and ICND2 study guides by Wendell Odom. You can also check out TrainSignal's videos by Chris Bryant. These resources are all very popular around here.

    The 2851 will be a great router for any cisco lab. Make sure you get a console cable (the flat blue cable).
