ntbackup.exe question
Hey Guys,
In work I've been asked to setup a backup schedule, what they want me to do is a Normal Backup on Friday and Differential from Monday to Thursday, should I backup the System State on Friday, the Differential or both?
TIA

Using a differential through the week will backup all files that have changed since the last backup, a full backup on Friday will backup all files regardless. It's a common procedeure, and Windows makes it relatively easy to setup.i remain, he who remains to be....

KernelXP Member Posts: 51 ■■□□□□□□□□The Backup will be on a file server that also acts as a domain controller, On Friday I'll be selecting Normal backup with selected files and folders, and the same with the differential backup, so what I'm asking is should I just do a backup of the System State on the Normal Backup or on all of them.
*I think I get it now, because differential backs up any changes since the last Normal backup, I should select the system state on all of them.*
So is this the right thing to do? -
