It's CISCO time!

Well, having finished MCSA in December, after an almost two-months long hiatus it is time to hit the books again. My initial plan is to give CCENT about a month and a half of full-time study, subject to change once I see at what pace I'm actually advancing.

I will start off with the Cisco Press CCENT/CCNA ICND1 book, CBT Nuggets, Packet Tracer (for now), and supplement that with daily trips to subnetting questions dot com for drills.

As always, I am open to suggestions and would especially appreciate any insight into the differences between a typical CISCO and Microsoft exam.

Good Luck with your studies icon_study.gif

Cisco exams have no mark and review option -- once you hit "next" the question is gone forever.

Simlets and Testlets give you a few questions about a scenario and you can move between those until you hit the "next" button to move to the next question -- and then the Simlet/Testlet is gone forever.

You can check out the Cisco Exam Tutorial to see samples of the different question question types Cisco uses on their exam.

I think your approach to ICND1 for CCENT is fine. That is what I did. You'll need to kick it up a notch when you start studying for ICND2.

    Me too,

I am getting ready to write the full CCNA exam next Friday, I have been studying for the past 3 months for this baby every single night.

Dont know how I am not divorced yet, anyway I think I am close to been ready. I have a full Cisco lab at home and have been using the Exam Cram and the Cisco Press books as material.....and of course this Forum.

Good Luck.....I know I will need it......
