Exam Order

I am an MCSA on 2003. I just passed the 70-648 exam and am getting ready to take 70-646 to earn my MCITP:Server Admin. My plans after that are to work towards MCITP:Enterprise Admin. Now that I have so much information fresh in my head about 2008 server, I dont want to jump into applications and vista and then come back and take a server exam.

Here is my question....

If I pass 70-646 and earn my MCITP:Server Admin, can I just take 70-647 next and then go back and take the Vista and App exams to earn my Enterprise Admin?

I just want to take the 2008 server exams in a row before I move off and start studing for Vista. I have been told by a friend that I am not allowed to take 70-647 until I pass 70-643 and 70-620. Can anyone shed some light on this?
