You have got to learn the basics before you can proceed.

Subnetting is probably THE most important aspect of CCNA. If you can't do that you will NOT pass the exam...simple as that. The upside is that it's really not that hard. Good luck.

nah it's actually pretty damn easy if you look at it right.

/24 is all 255 IP.
/25 is half that
/26 is half that
/27 is half that
repeat ad nauseum.

Agreed,. once you figure out how to do it, it is really easy. Until then it is a mystery....
