Have MCSA, how many to MCSE?

Hey Board,
Just wanted to know how many more test do I need for MCSE? I looked at the MS site but got confused around the design exams, cause I saw the design exams in the elective category. I have MCSA, and now studying for 70-293. Going towards MCSE: Security.
thank you

You need 70-293 and 70-294 plus one of the design exams ( 70-297 or 70-298 ) for MCSE.
If you want MCSE:Security, you'll need 70-298 and 2 security electives.

What did you use for your MCSA elective? Some don't count towards the MCSE.

Ok. Thanks bw.
Oh dynamik, my elective was my A+ and Network+.
A+, Network+, Inet+, MCP 70-620, 70-290, 70-291. Those are what I took.
Not sure if that A+, Network+ carries anything for MCSE.

You'll need a replacement elective like the Security+ as the A+/N+ combo doesn't work for the MCSE.

The MS certification site is overly complicated and it's difficult to figure out what you need to accomplish to get to a certain point.
Anyway, the easy way is to send an email to
MCPHelp@microsoft.com
and explain to them what you already have and what your objective is and they will get back to you quite fast (like the next day or so).
