Permissions on Shared Folder

Does Microsoft want you to remove the default "Everyone" group when you configure the "Share permissions" on a shared folder?

If it was up to me, when setting up permissions, I would remove the "Everyone" group and any other groups besides Administrators, SYSTEM, Creator Owners, Users etc. But I want to make sure if this is correct.

Thoughts?

Who cares what permissions the Everyone group has if NTFS is involved? :) Otherwise, yes, I would say Microsoft would want it removed in lieu of Authenticated Users.

It is the "secure" thing to do and it doesn't affect the users who are authorized to view the resource.

Doesn't matter if you're on Windows 2003+. The Anonymous logon group isn't a part of the Everyone Group in Windows 2003 and above.
