Does Security+ waive SSCP experience requirements?
I saw in another older post someone say that the Security+ cert waives the 1 year experience requirement for SSCP? Is that true?

RTmarc Member Posts: 1,082 ■■■□□□□□□□I don't believe it does.
https://www.isc2.org/sscp-how-to-certify.aspxAssert that he or she possesses a minimum of one year of professional experience in one of the seven CBK domains (If you’re a practitioner without the required work experience, you may achieve Associate of (ISC)² for SSCP by passing the same SSCP examination. Upon successfully completing the experience requirement and endorsement, you will receive a certificate and ID card and hold the SSCP designation.)
It specifically mentions that exception for the CISSP exam but it isn't mentioned for the SSCP. I would contact ISC2 just to double check.

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,092 AdminThe SSCP requires one-year of work experience in one of the SSCP CBK domains; there is no way to waive that single year of experience for obtaining the SSCP certification. Anyone without the work experience can still pass the SSCP exam and become an Associate of (ISC)2 for SSCP.
