Cisco 7507?

There's a 7507 series router being sold in my area, is it worth trying to bid on it? It's on craigslist: Used CISCO 7507 Series 7500 Multi-Interface System W/5 Cards

What do you think would be the lowest they may be willing to go? I bet the shipping on that thing is a killer, so I'm at least considering it.

Or would it be better to go with regular 1U and 2U routers?

What is the time frame on it compared to the other routers?

Use a smaller router in your lab. A 7500 is huge, heavy, noisy and sucks power. It was EOL in 2006. The latest IOS is 12.4.23. The RSP4 inside will do 345KPPS or 176.64Mbps.

You should be able to snag it for not too much. There are plenty of empty chassis units and cards on eBay. I would say save your money and buy something else.

I personally wouldn't bother with this unit....

Hmm... loud and a power drain, maybe I should just save that $100 or so that I was hoping to get it down to for a 2620xm, I believe I can get one around that price.
