At least you will know which areas to study up on. Just don't give up! Keep us updated. try using the VTC stuff too, they have free demos from their website that cover a decent amount for free. I used VTC for this exam and the instructor was in the security field, which helped.

I don't think it's a good idea to take the exams without understanding Cryptography very well. Google the topics you don't understand, you need basic understanding only.
I highly recommend you do not take the test if you don't fully understand Cryptography.
When I took the test the first time I felt confident that I knew the material inside and out. However, the way they word some of the questions really threw me off.
Go over the Technotes and Practice exams on this website. They really helped me out.
