EtherChannel & STP

How is EtherChannel & STP work in conjuction under these circumstances:

1- within EtherChannel itself, just 2 aggregated link per say...
2- 2 switches, up & down link with a 2 channel EtherChannel (double-dotted line, 2 x fa) and 1 single FastEthernet (dotted line)....

1. STP treats the bundle as one link.

2. Not really sure what you are asking here...

1) With etherchannel as networker said both physical links are viewed as the one logical link,the spanning-tree cost will be adjusted depending on how many links form the etherchannel, the more links the lower the stp cost.BPDUs are only sent across one physical link in the bundle, this will be the interface with the lowest number.

2)If a two link port channel has one link down, stp will cost it as one physical link.So both links as per your example will be the same cost.

thank you both....that's what i need to find out.....especially how STP chooses to pass BPDU's within a bundle.....
