A Tough Tough Exam

Hello All,

I just wrote the exam this passed Friday, I think I may have underestimated the exam as it was definately a tough one.

Unfortunately I did'nt make it, scored a 760, but I knew the simulations killed me. Ahh well back to the books again for another week or two.

Cheers to all who passed.

Sounds like you should head back to the lab or simulator (like Boson) for some rack time.

Going into an exam all the hands on tasks that Cisco could test on seems overwhelming at times, but afterwords (except for the BGP and MPLS exams for the CCIP and the CCIE Labs) I've always had to chuckle at what they've actually asked me to do. I guess you really want to spend enough lab time preparing for the hands on tasks in the exam blueprint so that the SIMs seem like the "free and easy points" on the exam.

Gook Luck on your next attempt! icon_thumright.gif

have you thought about doing the two exam route?
  • Irish ManIrish Man Member Posts: 72 ■■□□□□□□□□
Nope havent thought about doing the two exam route. I was very close in my first attempt, so I believe I can pass this beast. I am going to give it a second shot.

I feel you on that one, I insisted on doing the 640-801 and it took me until the very last day it was offered to pass it. icon_lol.gif

Good luck in your retry, here's to hoping your next post about this test will be with a big "I PASSED" title on it. icon_thumright.gif

I used the comeback code, worked a treat. I wasn't CCNA'ed and used it on the ICND2 exam after my close but failed first attempt.

That's encouraging news! I'm thinking of taking my ICND2 either next week or on St. Patrick's Day! Depends on how many labs I get in this week. I'm shooting for a first attempt pass, but it's comforting to know the promotion is out there.

    Irish Man:

I think that in your case, you are doing the right thing by going the 1 test route. Like you said, you were pretty close. Best of luck to you!

Thanks guys, I rescheduled for next week. I did use the comeback code and it gave me a nice big balance of $0.00.

Thanks for this great thread and the advice or else I would be dishing out $30000.00 Canadian or $250.00 US.

Had you already gotten your CCNA in the past? I thought the comeback code only works if you've already been certified and just need to re-up.
