What other book to get?

About month or two ago I finished reading Todd Lammel's CCNA 6th ed. but I never got a lab going so I decided to hold off on CCENT. Right now I'm busy with college work so I really don't want to read or do labs so I'm holding off until summer. I was wondering, what book would be a good refresher when summer comes? I was going to buy a lab since I'll have a internship by then (I'm pretty sure I could get one, my instructor said more internships happen during the summer and they are redoing the program).

I was thinking about getting this book since I'll have some equipment by then:

Or should I go for a Odom ICND 1 or 2? I'm planing on the two test route so I'm also considering getting separate books rather then the 640-802 book; or should I consider the 802 book?

I would go with the Odom set -- they are much more in-depth and will be good in the long run. This method for CCNA is tried and proven. They are also broken down for the two-test route...having too much material in the books might slow you down.

The 640-802 one is actually the ICND1 and ICND2 books in a box.

If you are new to subnetting, find a used copy of LAMMLE's CCNA book and use that for the subnetting, then rely on Odom for everything else.

I knew subnetting cold for my MCSE, and then I had to relearn it for ICND1. I was getting nowhere with Odom. Lammle's book "spoke to me."

I have subnetting down, I learned it from Lammle's book, I mentioned in my post I read most of the book already

I just need to practice it before I take the test.

I guess Odom it is, hopefully it'll help with the stuff that Lammle doesn't go over well in hes book.

Thanks for telling me about the 640-802 book, I didn't know that.
