70-557 Exam

Hello all I had recently passed the 70-557 exam (TS: Microsoft Forefront Client and Server, Configuration), with a 953 (yay!). But I am confused with the fusion of the MCSA/E 2003 track. On the Microsoft website it says that indeed this exam counts as a credit toward our MCSA/E 2003 track

This is quoted on the Microsoft page:
Credit toward certification

When you pass Exam 70-557: TS: Microsoft Forefront Client and Server, Configuration, you complete the requirements for the following certification:

Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Microsoft Forefront Client and Server – Configuration

Exam 70-557 also earns credit as an elective exam toward the following certifications:
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) on Windows Server 2003
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Windows Server 2003
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) on Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Microsoft Windows 2000 Server

But on the actual requirement page for MCSA 2003 (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcsa/windows2003/default.mspx). It lists the 70-557 as an elective exam but on the Elective exams section it has the little 2 symbol and towards the bottom of the page it says that 2008 exams cant be counted as credit towards MCSA 2003 certification...

So does it really count towards MCSA or not? Im confused

Thx in advance!

That looks like its fine for an elective to me. It states Windows Server 2008 exams cant be used as electives for the 2003 series.

Congrats on the pass btw, and good luck with the beast :)
