Hi,
I have a 2950 and 2610 hooked up to my home network. I've given them static IP addresses and I can telnet into them. They are connected via a LAN port on my home Trendnet router. I find it strange that the Trendnet web gui does not show/acknowledge that a cisco device is connected, the IP is not shown on the LAN status page.
This wouldn't be a big deal, except that I haven't been able to telnet into my cisco router remotely. I'm forwarding the telnet port 23 to the router IP (192.168.100.210), and I wonder if these two issues are related. Maybe my remote telnet problem is completely unrelated though, I'm not sure.
thanks

I don't have a Trendnet router, but many times those pages are generated based on DHCP registrations. Since your router and switch have statically assigned addresses it makes sense that they would not show up.
