Also, I found Cisco Press Flash cards to be an excellent supplement. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1587200791/qid=1091060378/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-6039127-8675367?v=glance&s=books)

keenon Member Posts: 1,922 ■■■■□□□□□□well the 607 is a hard test especially if you don't have any experience with routers and switches. the osi questions are a little more detail but the router and switcj configuration questions can be a "dusey" ( i know b/c i failed it 2 times with a 700 after 6 months experince and studying in 02 or early 03) and now for the 801 i understand that some of the old ccnp stuff has dropped into the ccna i would suggest trying to take the 2 partial ccna tests 811 and 821 , study harder and get more actual experience with in CLI .. a good site to download a router/ switch sim is routersim.com at a cost it only does frame relay and ppp, not alot of deep access lists but it should help..
reason i say is that i'm going to take my ccna sometime before the end of this year .. i know from experience to be better preparedBecome the stainless steel sharp knife in a drawer full of rusty spoons -
viper75 Member Posts: 726 ■■■■□□□□□□I have that CCNA flashcards for the 801. I think it's must have!!! It has good study material for the 801. Questions and answers get right to the point. It also comes with a CD with questions in it and a screen saver that has flash card questions too. It also has questions you can download to your PDA from the CD. If you're studying for the CCNA 640-801 then I highly recommend this book to you. I think I paid $30 for it in Barns and Noble.
It's a good book to carry around with you. I keep it in my car all the time...keeps me studying while I'm stuck in traffic.
Todd Lammle's Sybex book is also an great book too.mwgood wrote:Todd Lammle's Sybex 4th edition is right on target with what you need to know for the 640-801 exam.(http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0782143113/qid=1091060298/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/102-6039127-8675367?v=glance&s=books&n=507846)
