Question about NICs
I have seen and read some conflicting information on what layer of the OSI model that NICs reside. Some of my training material says Layer 2 and some says Layer 1. I tend to think its layer 1. I just want the correct information for the test.

NICs operate at both Layer 1 and 2. They control the layer 2 protocol and the layer 1 physical transmission.
