Woohoo!

I know it's an entry-level test, but I'm proud of my score.

-The Boson exams that come with Odom's book are about 35% harder than the actual exam questions.

-If you don't know subnetting you're screwed

-I almost bombed an easy SIM because I got the interfaces mixed up (nerves)

-No Braindumps or ******** of course

-I really liked the DIFFERENT types of questions Cisco had. They have some innovative ways of asking for info.

Now I need to get an ICND2 book!

Congrats on the Pass great score.

Did you just use Odoms book and Boston practice exams? I'm curious as I'm just about to start studying for the CCENT. Work are paying for the full CCNA and I will be doing this spread over 2 weeks. However I want to get in some study before hand so I can literally take the course and go to the exam. My background is in desktop support a little networking this is why decided to do the exam in two parts. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

-Hands on is pretty vital.

-Two weeks is pretty brutal, I studied on and off for 10 months. You can do it, but your brain will be stuffed by the time you get through it.

-I have my own lab of cheap gear (2 x 2501's, 2 x2950's)

-Make sure you know subnetting well (Odom's explanations did not work for me, I had to borrow someone's Lamle book to relearn subnetting - I knew it for my MCSE).

Congrats! Nice Score!

I recommend that once you start studying for the ICND2 that you go straight through... None of the on and off stuff! I think that ICND2 had a lot more material to cover than the ICND1.

I just kept practicing until I could do it in my head. I used the LAMMLE method (from his CCNA book), and kept practicing on these sites:
